PREPARING FOR UNPLANNED SCHOOL CLOSURE
ONLINE LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES AT HOME PROVIDED BY C2K

Winter is upon us again and we remember only too well the misery many people experienced across Northern Ireland last year. On more than one occasion, schools had to close unexpectedly and the education of pupils of all ages was disrupted.

In preparation for similar circumstances this year, C2k has drawn up sets of curriculum resources that can be accessed by learners at home online via the online learning platform, LearningNI( Primary and Special). These are ready-made bundles of Resources for Courses which are packed full of ideas for lessons and collaborative learning activities to help prepare for any unforeseen school closure. They are now available for download from the Library > Staff > Resources for Courses. They are designed for teachers to take and modify to suit their own particular class or age group in advance of any emergency school closure.

They are available round the clock to all teachers and pupils, both inside and outside school and they can be used at any time during the year to provide anytime, anywhere eLearning opportunities.
Your child will have thier own logon and password details issued in school and should be able to access the resource from home.

St Mary's School Choir sing in Carlingford

The School Choir enjoyed their carol singing at the Carlingford Choral Festival. However, the highlight of the event was the delicious hot chocolate and cookies provided by the staff of Fitzpatrick's Restaurant in Cooley afterwards.
We would like to say a special thankyou to Danny Fitzpatrick who very generously waived the entire fee.
